Listening to understand, not to win<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Many conversations become arguments when partners listen only to reply.<br>Stronger communication begins when both people aim to understand before responding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A helpful phrase:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>\u201cLet me make sure I understood you correctly\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Feeling heard reduces frustration and brings conversations back to calm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2.
